    Hello!

I have lost the key to my room door. It's a 2 lever BASTA sashlock. Where could I get a replacement? Going from youtube videos it says 2 lever locks have less security because more keys fit. But what key do I need?

Ok so by googling I see there are 16 keys for a BASTA 2 lever lock. So any ideas how I know what key I need?

Most traditional locksmiths will lend you a bunch of the lot for a deposit, so you can find out which you need.

However, my local locksmith told me that the new owners of Basta (the firm went bust and was rescued) don't actually make all the keys anymore.

    Thanks!

I could use a lock from elsewhere in the house but the latch needs to be turned around. Seems to be easy enough from videos online. Do you know if it's as easy as it looks?

Yes it is pretty easy, just takes a bit of time. Alternatively you could buy a new lock with keys 10 to 15 euro

Turning the latch is usually very easy, but if the lock is old there is a risk the spring will break.
