Boru stove dial

    Hello, hoping someone can help me with such a basic question. I have a boru 600 stove and I'm just wondering how the dial at the front works. It has markings from 1-8 but no marking to stay what number is currently selected nor does the manual I found say what it is for/what the numbers mean.

    When I twist the dial counter clockwise all the way number 1 is nearly at the top so I'm guessing that what ever number is at top is the current number selected and twisting clockwise increases number selected. Also I'm guessing the higher the number the more air allowed in thus higher burn rate.

    Is my understanding correct?

    If my understanding is correct, what's proper usage of it? Set the number to a high level to get the fire going and when I want a big fire and then turn it down to lower the fire/get a longer burn and all the way down at night?

    Hi, I have the same issue, but not noticing any difference when turning the dial .

    Have you found out anymore on it ?
