Just spotted this Hawk on a rat in the woods near me. Can someone identify it please?

Spotted in Rusheen Woods just outside Galway City. Thanks. Sorry I can't figure out how to rotate the image.

    Hi. It's a buzzard.

Thanks for the reply. I have not seen one before in this area just Sparrow hawks. It got spooked when it saw me and flew away, then I saw the rat making a run for it through the leaves. As I walked away I kept an eye and saw it fly back and catch the rat again, then it flew off with it.
