2 Hour parking at Dublin Airport.

I'm picking someone up at Dublin airport around christmas, their flight is arriving at terminal 1 at 8am.

They are flying from Hong Kong, so they may be stopped by security, as they are on a visa, but the last leg of the flight is flying in from Heathrow.

I've been checking out parking, I may need to park there for 2 hours, just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a car park. Is it easiest to just use the airport parking and pay when I get there, rather than pay in advance. They may need me there to meet them when they come through security.

    Thanks in advance.

For two hours just use the short term car park.

Or wait in McDonalds car park and pick them up from the drop off location. Works every time😂

The drop off location was closed for recent months due to emergency queue plans in the area. You could still wait at macdonald's at the petrol station but it was usually no parking spaces and when you get a call to collect them it's hard to find a place to meet them and pick them up.

Short term is ripoff, like crazy expensive. Some wait near the airport and watch the plants land and take off. There is specific parking areas near the runways for people to plane watch.

Many just wait for the phone call to say out of customs and have bags etc. Some then go to short term parking to reduce the rip off fees.
