    Hi All,

Any Aplha ESS owners out there having the same problem. Seems like after the last update. When i get over 1.5KW most of the excess seems to be going to the grid instead of the battery.

Currently my battery is at 12% producing nealy 3KW load is 660W feed out to grid is 2.25KW and battery charging around 250W

Only thing i changed on my end was the new tariff electricity price, nothing else changed.

Seems like this changed after the last release.

    Thanks

I've always noticed that charging is slower when SOC is less than 20% or more than 90%.

Not generating so much right now, but the charge looks normal

My nighttime charging from grid is also fine ~3.6 kWh in a little over an hour

No chance I'm going to see better than 1500W at this time of year...

Where is your battery ? Could cold temperature be reducing the rate battery can charge?

    Thanks for the replies.

We had alot of sun today and noticed that the most i got while charging the battery when the PV was above 1.5KW was 256W now with a 5.2 battery that looks like 5%, or the trickle charge that i used to get when the battery was at 95%. Could be the app config as its knickers in a twist somehow.

The battery is out in the garage so would be pretty cold out there today, but did notice this was happening for a few days, basically since the app was updated.

As you can see below lots of sun, battery really not charging and most off to the grid. Battery should have got to atleast 75%

Tried testing the installers, but don`t always get a reply they seem to be constantly busy. As anyone logged a call with alpha themselves? Was that via the UK number?

Thanks for the help, helps rule a few things out.

I've raised issues directly with AlphaESS. From within the app on on the browser client. They have always been very responsive.

Are we on the same firmware versions?

Will try and raise a call via the app good to know they are responsive.

    EMS version is V1.02.65

    BMS version is V11.91

    Inverter version is V1.48

So i`m up in some and down in others. I have run the firmware updater and does say i`m up to date.

But this seemed to have started with the new app version my app version is V4.3.8 with alphacloud V5.0.04 updated on the 19th Nov.

Many thanks for all the help.

I am not getting any data on my AlphaESS app since 10/1/23. The web access is giving a 404 error as well. Anyone any tips to get back in action? App appears to be up to date. Has been running fine for the past 24 months.

Both app and web access working for me.

404 seems like you might have logged in, but cannot access your data...

If so can you log a query? Might be a server side problem.

Can you see your inverter on your network? Mine reports itself as WIZnet. If not then it might not be sending data. Can you see and older days when you log on the cloud?
