Hi, Looking into buying a used car to help pass my test. I may buy a car with a repayment plan. Was just wondering what would be the process if I was to move abroad and I still had money to pay off. Could I just return the car and stop the payments? Thanks

That would depend entirely on the terms of the finance package.
Get the wrong deal and handing back the car mid-way you could find yourself without a car and still owing a sum on top.

Not the best idea to be taking out a loan on a car if your considering moving abroad.

if you go for a cheap car and get a personal loan for you could sell when you move. There shouldn’t be much left on loan when you’re done, just pay off the balance over time.
