We have our own private well. What pressure should the pump come on and switch off at?

Also, if I switch off the pump and drain the water until the line pressure is down to zero, what air pressure should I have in the pressure vessel please?

    Hi,

Details should be on the pressure vessel.

But for mine I've 30psi air pressure and the cut off is 50psi. (The 30psi is marked on the pressure vessel). This give great water pressure to the house.

    More or less as above.

Set it at about 50 cut-out and you'll probably find it about 30 cut in. If the cutin is near 30 then just leave it and adjust the vessel (no water pressure on it (turn pump off and cold water sink tap on)) to 2 or 3 lbs less than pump cut-in pressure.
