Leather jeans belt

This may seem like a trivial matter and even a surprising one, but....

A few months ago, the steel buckle of my favourite wide brown jeans belt broke. Ever since, both online and in the shops, I've had no luck finding a good quality, strong brown jeans belt, min 4cm wide.

Everything on sale seems to be very thin and light, not suited to jeans and chinos, even in the specialist Men's stores like Diffneys and Bests.

Could anyone point me to a retailer in the Dublin area that might stock what I'm looking for?

Shoe repair or leather goods shops. I think the last one I got was from Tara Leathers. They last years.

I got a good one before in TK Maxx, it's very hit and miss with stock but sometimes will have just what you need.

I had the same problem finding a good jeans belt, kept an eye out on holidays in Spain and Italy but in the end got sorted at Donnelly Leathers on Harcourt Street.

I had a leather belt for 20 years used everyday. Now I can't get one that last a year

Another vote for tkmaxx. I’ve one of these:

Think tk’s charged 19.99 for it. I bought a second one last year in case the main one ever wears out. It won’t though. It’s exactly what you picture when you think ‘proper leather belt’. We’ll worth the rrp.
