Vintage Synths and Effects repair in Dublin?

    Hi,

I have a few vintage analog synths and effects in the studio that needs to be repaired or just serviced.

I contacted John Henson, the only guy I could find online in Dublin, but he didn't reply to his email and his site (http://www.retroactivesynth.com/) is not online anymore.

I would really like to avoid shipping these instruments abroad, not just for the cost, but also because their are heavy and fragile.

    Any help?

Posting a very late follow up in case it’s of use to pramsey or anyone else with a vintage synth.
Unfortunately there are no good options in Ireland and your best bet is to bite the bullet and get work done in Europe. Manfred at Vintage Synths & Co in Paris and Rudi at Linntronics in Germany are both great.
Having work done by an unqualified tech just to avoid shipping or because couriering the synth looks risky is counterproductive. I speak from experience as John at retroactive is a well-meaning amateur and completely screwed up a synth he was working on for me. Sorry there isn’t an easier option!
