Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Darts Performance & Weight Fluctuations

Seeing the extra timber Johnny Clayton & Dimitri VDB are carrying got me wondering how badly weight fluctuations affect a players throw/ performance.

Might be a total coincidence but JC and DvDB form seems to have tapered off a fair bit with the extra weight.

Adrian Lewis’s form seemed to get worse in direct correlation with the weight he put on.

Poor Andy Fordhams weight contributed to his untimely death.

The days of World class rotund darts players seems to be long gone

    Thoughts?

I don't think it's just putting on weight, extreme weight loss can affect players too. Even Phil Taylor went through some dodgy periods when he lost weight too quick. I'm assuming that it affects the balance of players and puts their throw off.

It would be interesting if anyone has done research on the topic.
