    Hi there,

I’ve to get a reconnection on an old property and ESB require underground ducting for this.

Has anyone here asked them to remove the old wires which run from the pole to the house?

im wondering if they will remove and if so, at what cost.

    Thanks.

    C.

If the esb cables are not connected, when you get your new connection, ask your electrician to cut them down and throw him €50 😁

that's poor advise the wire from the pole to the chimney is the property of esb and depending where they disconnected the supply is possibly live

The ESB will remove them when reconnecting your new system. They'll be cutting them at the pole to connect new underground line., so they'll hardly leave them on the ground connected to your chimney/gable 😊
