Window fix - possible or call in the professionals?

    This window won't open with nothing happening when I turn the handle. I removed the handle (pic above) and can see the square bit is rotating but the window won't open. Would this be hard to fix or do I need to call in the professionals? Munster joinery call out charge is crazy and with them only giving a 12 month warranty makes it even more frustrating

    If It Is spinning like that thennyoull need a new espag locking mechanism which looks like the following (two shown here)...

    The width & length of a new one should match your existing one. You should also check that the studs are (or can be) placed in the same place along the length as your own.

    Yours will be held in by two or more screws.
