Hi All, going to a Gig in Wembley in July and looking for recommendations for places to stay. Are we best stay around there or do you recommend staying more central and taking the tube there? Kinda gauging for somewhere with a bit of craic and pubs to go to after but also not be stuck waiting ages for transport. Thanks

I'd say it depends on the Gig ...Is it a big one / what day of the week / Age range?

There aren't really many decent bars very close to Wembley (IMO) ..The White Horse is the only one I can think of. Lots of restaurants / shops in the outlet mall.

All the hotels have their own bars so if it's a big gig I'd image they will all be busy aswell and you'll probably have the craic with people who where there aswell.

The tube itself will take 45mins to get back to central London without crowds and if it's a big crowd you'll looking at 90mins before you make it back in and places will be closing...other than clubs.

So if it's a big gig you might be better off staying out there else look to head somewhere else.

Thanks, its the Blur reunion on a Saturday night so big gig and age wise id imagine late 30s up. It would be nice to have a few pubs to check out so may look outside of Wembley. I know parts of London decently but not that area at all

I stayed in the Wembley Premier Inn for a gig before. It was probably was about a 2 minute walk to the venue. Lots of places to eat nearby so it was handy from that perspective too. If it's for convenience I'd definitely stay there again but maybe for nightlife you'd maybe want to look elsewhere.
