I use Amazon from time to time. Last time I used it was before Brexit kicked in. Also in the meantime I changed my mobile phone number. I have my old password and can get in but now a 'strong' ID sends a message and code to my OLD phone that I no longer have, so I don't get the one time code and don't sign in properly. Seems to be tricky to update my phone number to the system. There is an international number to ring. Is there any way to update phone number other than ringing the international number as I don't know how easy it is to get through on it, I don't even know if the international contact number can help

If you know someone (family/friend) with an amazon account at the bottom under customer service somewhere you(they) can request a call, get your number put in and you can explain when they call you?

Or if you use whatsapp maybe you can dial int'l number at no cost?

If your on social media try contact them there. They will give you a link you can email them. They blocked my account a while back when trying to use a prepaid mastercard given to me by work to top up my account. Nightmare as they closed it without providing any remidiation option but to use fax??!! (That is not a joke, they wanted bank statements faxed to a UK number!).

When I contacted them on Facebook they gave me a special form I could use to contact them.

Another option you can try is email jeff@amazon.com and someone should get back to you. I used both of the above and got my account reinstated. Cannot tell which one was the solution.

Just a word of caution on Amazon if thinking of using it for expensive purchases, they will only guarantee something for 6 months after which its up to you to deal with manufacturer. bit off topic I know, but I'd definitely be looking elsewhere now after a horrendous expierience with a phone failing in 11 months and amazon not wanting to help. Batteries and small purchases from amazon from here on...
