Prime Video Ireland no longer included in Amazon Prime membership

I went to watch a show on the prime video app via our virgin media box on our TV only to get the message "something went wrong try again later" and to go to www,primevideo.com/help for more help

I requested a phone call only to be told that co.uk amazon prime doesn't include access to the Irish catalogue, she then lied to me and told me I had access to the UK catalogue on the co.uk website (which I only found out after the call had ended)

I had access to the Irish catalogue two weeks ago, what gives?

I can log into primevideo.com but none of the videos are playing for me

so, to clarify:

On your TV you can't play videos

when you login into primevideo.com (presumably on a PC) you get the same error

Is that right?

my setup is a bit different to yours but I got the same error. I have a mini PC under my tv that i use for all my streaming services. Any time I got that error it was because I had other streaming apps open when I started the prime video app. the prime video app would work properly until I closed the other apps down. Maybe you are having a similar problem.

Are you paying for prime? Or was it via a Virgin Media promo bundle?

Regarding prime video, I have it in Ireland and can watch it perfectly on all my devices currently. Checked on phone, Nvidia Shield and LG smart TV.

Just to note it's likely an issue with the region your account is set to. I used to have mine set to the UK so I could watch UK stuff but it played havoc with my account. So I had it set back to Ireland. I still have it for shipping etc. I'll probably unsub soon I'm using both so little these days.

Almost certainly the above. I couldn't watch anything after Brexit, changed the region and can now watch everything............ not that I watch anything :)

Even with a UK account it should be possible to watch some Amazon produced stuff, or at least it was.
