    Today isn't it?

    Not sure what's better/worse;

    Ignoring a day to highlight positives, promote health, education, and mental well being

    OR

    Recent iterations where it's been how we're bad and should do better

    aahhh so its today is it? I hear about it from time to time but I am afraid not much is made of it from what I can see. I used to be involved with the men's shed network down here in Kerry and a few other things but as a guy in his mid-forties, I can tell you the world is a tough ol place these days and even harder to understand sometimes. I tend to keep my own council nowadays as far too many others seem to be wayyyyy too much bother to deal with. mental health is my priority and one way to maintain that is staying single. as well as keeping in shape and riding my bike [its not a Harley mate its a Yamaha😀 ]

    I don't see any issues with the idea that men, and people in general, should strive to be better.

    I'd no idea it was International Men's Day. I've spent the day relaxing, reading in the park, watching some Youtube videos to learn how to play Victoria 3 and am watching a bit of Netflix now. Generally, I try to keep in shape, read regularly and make sure I'm getting everything I need to do done at work. I don't really socialise as I don't drink and I prefer my own company to standing in the corner of a pub watching other people have fun.

    The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

    Yes, another double standard. There are loads and loads of events for International Women’s Day but you don’t see things about how women/some women may be “bad” (in some way) and should do better the way men are sometimes discussed in relation to International Men’s Day.

    We don't need a day. We're not that insecure.

    Western women don’t need it either unless it’s in solidarity with less well off women in countries where they don’t have many rights.
