Palladio composite front doors - advised to stay away from their slam-lock locking mechanisms?

Hi, apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I've been pricing up a new front door and side glass. I had someone out from Costello Windows today which are actually under the same parent company as Palladio (one brother owns Palladio and the other owns Costello Windows I believe). When I was going through the design I wanted, the bloke stopped me and said stay away from the slam locks (Slam lock is required if you want one of their pull-bar handles). He said that they can and do fail quite easily, if there's any sag in the hinges over time etc that with slam locks, you'll have problems even closing the door at all and will have countless visits from a locksmith replacing them. He went as far as to say (quite sternly I'll admit) that if I want one of those handles/locks that I should look elsewhere as he won't install them. This was coming from a man who's under the same company as Palladio themselves! He also asked if any of the other companies I got quotes from advised me of this issue and got a bit annoyed when I told them they didn't mention it at all.

With this info I called back the other companies I got quotes from and none of them have said they have had customers experience this (whether they're being truthful idk..). One crowd said that some elderly customers have said they found the slam locks to be a bit difficult to close one handed, but other than that no issues.

Has anyone else heard this, or experienced this? I absolutely loved the look of the pull-bar handle and I'd be a bit disappointed if I had to stay away from them.. but equally don't want to get myself into a lifetime of front door problems either. Any advice would be great! :)

Is Palladio not A style as opposed to a brand ?

Fairly sure it's a brand? palladiodoorcollection com is their website (can't post links). They have a factory in Glin in Limerick, and have a few different styles within their range.

    Palliadian is an architectural style.

Palladio is an Irish business manufacturing composite doors in a variety of styles.
