Gas boiler and proximity to sink in utility

Hi, I’ve been told recently that RGI regs require that it not be possible for a person to touch a gas boiler and a water source at the same time. Our boiler is situated on the wall in our utility, about 4 feet from the tap on a sink. The plumber suggested I get the boiler boxed off to prevent this. Does this make sense?

Hi,

You might have better luck over in electrical: I would imagine its an earthing issue
