Everyone is saying the same thing... in so many sh%£ty social media articles they start with that caption. Is this supposed to encourage people to read / click? Is everyone really saying the same thing?

"Everyone is saying the same thing about the Late Late Show last night".

"Everyone is saying the same thing about bad journalism".

"Everyone is saying the same thing about everyone saying the same thing".

    Rant over.

"I hope this email finds you well"

    "gentle reminder"

    "This one crazy trick will...."

A quick google search of the phrase shows you’re not wrong OP 😂

Kinda reminds me of the phenomenon of “the big lie”, something about telling a lie big enough for long enough and with enough conviction and confidence, people will eventually come to believe it -

Thanks OP, I literally spit coffee all over my keyboard after reading that...

It reflects on the echo chamber nature of the internet. If three people said the 2 Johnnies were hilarious on Twitter then "everyone is saying the same thing". Regardless if two of those people were the 2 Johnnies.

You are right OP....it really is the absolute cesspit......sewer journalism....

Ive seen these style "articles" alot recently and it makes me lose the will to live....

People responsible for compiling this dogshìt should look themselves in the mirror and ask themselves "How did i get here"?

National disgrace as its time we had a real discussion about how everyone is saying the same thing.

Yes op we live in a world of bullshtters.

Putin is a dictator. Putin should face justice at the Hague. All good Russians should work to depose Putin. Russias war in Ukraine is illegal and morally wrong.

Quite a lot of them are AI generated. There's no author or journalist involved.

yeee, I have noticed that trend over the last year or 3. it's like an irritating song that keeps plugging away on the radio or TV. often its in fact some kind of online clickbait ad. 1000,000 clicks and someone makes a tenner.

Everyone is saying the same thing about Dermot Bannon, that he should never appear on the Late Late Show again.

It's a fairly clever clickbait tactic, the masses who consume the likes of Fair City and the LLS do tend to say/think the same thing. It gives them comfort to know that others in the herd are saying the same thing so the clickbait draws them in.

A recent one was about Leo Varadkar's bizarre David Clifford analogy when talking about multinational corporations on Prime Time. It was predictable that there would be an everyone's saying the same thing article after that. And in fact a lot of people probably were saying the same thing.

    "Conservative voices are being silenced!"

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

As a country we suffer heavily from having too small a pool of journalists, who regrettably are all to conscious of their futures and their careers to actually stick their necks out and write something relevant. There is an omerta that exists amongst them.

Hawkins street in the 80's or 90's would be a hotbed for gossip and slur, The Irish Press was above Mulligans, Con Houlihan would be pouring gallons into himself there. The Irish Times was around the corner, lots of pubs in the general area were flooded with journalists. Abbey street was full too.

I think it is worth reminding ourselves that the era of journalists hanging around pubs for the goss is over now. Sad really, it has been replaced by teetotalling woke numpties who harness the imagination of goldfish stuck in a loophole.

Media is where it is at, for the time being.

If you ask me they all just say the same thing?

You won't BELIEVE what I'm about to say in the greyed-out bit below...

Clickbait headlines are bottom of the barrel stuff. The tabloid hallmark of the 21st century.

Another one appearing with irritating regularity is, "You'll NEVER guess what [ insert sub-Z list 'celebrity' ] looks like now!".

Up until this point of course, we were all labouring under the assumption that celebrities simply did not age.

So thank you digital media, that delusion has been well and truly lanced.

A pet hate of mine is "XYZ is happening and nobody is talking about it!!" as if it's some kind of media conspiracy to keep a certain story down, when a quick google proves this to be very false. Conspiracy theorists love this line.
