Social welfare payment

Sorry don't know where to post this topic.

I signed onto the social welfare 2 weeks ago. I'm going away on holidays for 14 days tomorrow and due my first payment Tuesday. Can I leave the first 2 payments in the post office together or will they expire?

Just ring them and tell them you are going away. I've done it before and it's never been an issue.

My payments are due to hit post office Tuesday.

Afraid they will expire,if payments are not collected after a certain number of days they will return to the dept of social welfare and you probably will be cut off from your payment,I'm not sure how many days you have to collect,I think it might be 3,best to contact the social welfare
