    Howdy.

Can anyone tell me where the eng temp sensor is located please

Is it the coolant temp sensor or cylinder head temp sensor you're looking for?

Getting fault code P0117, that’s coolant?

Don't know the layout of that engine but I'd say its located gearbox side of engine, close to where the thermostat/top radiator hose connects from engine going towards top of radiator.

If that coolant temp sensor is gone I'd get it changed soon as possible, they can really make a car run like sh1t when they go bad

    Got it sorted.

Changed the sensor, it was the culprit. Above bellhousing on the head.

    cheers
