Was not in use a 4 months and now not start,

There plenty of diesel in the tank but no smoke when turning over

Took off Fuel filter completely and no diesel coming or leaking out,

What would issue be?

Did you turn off the tap at the bottom of the fuel tank when you stopped using it 4 months ago?

It could be dirt that settled in the bottom of the tank, giving the same result. A shot of air back up the fuel line would be a good way to test it…

Couple of common problems to look at...

1) dirt in bottom of tank a very real possibility.

Unscrew pipe and see what ( if anything) comes out.

If it has never been cleaned, do so.

There is a round plate you can unbolt and get your hand in to scoop out the crap.

2) Have you checked the water trap?

It's in the left hand chassis rail, between the tank outlet and the diesel lift pump.

3) If the original rubber hoses are still fitted between the tank and the lift pump, change them.

They degrade internally and close off the flow of diesel.

4) Lift pumps are of poor quality, check valves for dirt etc.

One ladt thing which happened to me, plagued with an intermittent airlock.

Only happened when tank got below half full, and was totally random.

Turned out to be a piece of old cork gasket material in the tank, submerged but floating free a few inches below the surface.

Now and then it drifted over the outlet pipe and got sucked onto it, causing an airlock symptoms.

The puzzler was that if you left the machine for an hour or so it "un stuck" and drifted away again, allowing a good flow of diesel.

No I did not, thought when plenty of diesel in tank be fine

If there isn't turn in it at all, it could the electrical connections going to the fuel pump.

Other place is the is a diesel sediment bowl on the inside left hand chassis rail. You will see it from underneath
