Armoured cable - educate me, please!

Hi all,

I'm trying to educate myself a bit re. Armoured mains cable (I'm not carrying out the works myself obviously, but want to educate myself).

So, what's being installed is...

50 metres Armoured Cable (SWA)

It's a 2.5mm(2) 3-core, solid core cable (as opposed to strand) (Will only ever be max 1Kw load on it)

However, when I google, i'm getting nowhere when trying image searches etc....

What is the proper terminology for this? And what is the going rate for a 50m roll these days?

Thanks for that.

What's causing me confusion is that in the picture, the wire itself looks stranded? (Granted, looks like thicker and less strands than flex).

Does SWA come with stranded wires as standard, as opposed to solid core wires? (This is what's causing me confusion)

ive never specifically ordered either and just use what’s delivered
