Increase to Small Benefit Exemption

    Hi all,

    Budget 2022 increased the small benefit (voucher) exemption from €500 to €1000. This was to be put into effect for 2022 so that employees could benefit for this Christmas.

    This change isn't reflected on Revenue's website yet.

    Can anyone advise does it take effect immediately or does it need to be signed into law first?

    Is it safe to give out now?

    We were hoping to avail of it soon so that employees could use it for Christmas shopping.
