Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Gomo nightmare

    There is something wrong with the Gomo service to my phone and I'm wondering if anyone else has the same problem or has a solution. Its been an issue ever since I signed up to GoMo in Feb of this year. I have listed three of the biggest problem issues below.

    Gomo say its the phone and won't deal with it unless I change to a new phone which is major hassle for me.

    Issue 1 - Phone Rings, I answer but the line is dead on the other end. The other person hears the line go on and ring out after several mins. If I try ring them back straight away after it goes dead for me they are engaged as they are still on the original line calling me.

    Issue 2 - I am uncontactable even though I have 3 bars. The person ringing hears an automated response each time saying the person is unavailable.

    Issue 3 - A person rings me and the line rings out for them. Nothing happens on my phone. I get a missed call notification pop up afterwards.

    With my previous provider there was never an issue with the same phone.

    Put you sim into another phone and see if that fixes it. Then you will know.

    I have the exact same problem the last 6 months. Somebody rings me and the phone often rings once and declines the call after one ring.

    The same happens my wife's phone and my father's phone. All on gomo. Its driving us mad.

    Does anyone know what other provider I can change to that is as far distanced from Gomo as possible.

    I was considering Eir but I'm afraid that as Gomo use the eir network the problem will carry across.
