Very slight flex in shower tray corner

Hi I’ve installed a 1000 x 800 shower tray in my en-suite. Floor was off a small bit so I propped up the corner of the shower will some metal lugs and then filled area with tec 7. There seem to be a very slight flex in the shower tray corner. It’s ever so slight,1mm or 2mm. Do ye think this is going to be an issue when tiled, shower door fitted and siliconed or will they all add that extra bit of support.

When you say flex do you mean movement? There shouldn't be any movement at all in the tray. If there is movement I would take the tray out & start again.

I'd be more worried about the fact that there is no Classi Seal around the tray. What are you using to make it water tight between the tray and tiles?

Thanks for your reply. There is a seal, it’s not the brand classi seal but it BTW brand.

as regards what I mean by flex; it’s right in the corner where you can see the tec 7. There is slight sponginess when I stand on the corner of the shower tray due to the flexibility of the tec 7. Like literally 1mm-2mm.

There should be no movement on the tray. I would take it out & start again. Strengthen the floor where necessary. I wouldn't use tec 7 under the tray either. If you do decide to bed it down in something then the whole tray should be bedded down in it and not just a corner.

Tec7 isn't structural, and those shims aren't up to the job. Looks like the flex could be from the floor underlay board. That needs to be rigid to the joists.
