Projector screen, go 4:3 or 16:9?

In the market for a screen and the location is probably suited to a square 4.3 screen as it is over a chimney breast which is 160cm wide and has about 130cm from the ceiling down to the top of the stove.
But just wondering peoples thoughts on 4:3 screens and if you find them a bit annoying compared to 16:9 as you're so used to that ratio watching normal tv. It would be mainly football Id be watching on it but would have the odd movie too.
Like I could get a 180cm or 200cm wide 16:9, it would overlap the chimney breast a bit but Im not concerned too much about that. Moreso wondering if a square screen is a lesser viewing experience than a landscape one
