which of those would you choose and why?

which caris more reliable/better in general, would you say? in particular i'm looking at a 2017 astra with 50000km, and a 2018 ceed with 51000km.

The Ceed will be a better car than the Astra imo and will still have the balance of the original 7 year/150,000km Kia warranty. If you could stretch to a 2019 model then you will be getting the newer model Ceed which is better again over the older model.

Also why are you only limiting yourself to these two models?

If it was just those 2 I’d say the Kia.

I would choose the Astra. It's better to drive particularly in diesel guise but won't hold it's value as well as the Kia.

i was looking for cars for a while now and these 2 have sparked my interest in particular.

they look good, are reasonably priced and have a nice feature set.

i did drive an astra before, though a 2013 or 2014 one as rental, and the drive itself was great, but i didn't like how super mini the windows were, almost felt claustrophobic inside compared to me Micra, haha... will have to check if the ceed is any better in that regard.
