Hi. My son has been awarded a very minimal SUSI grant based on my income for a job which I lost straight after the application. we have both emailed them but with no response or change in the award. My son can't continue with the course which he is into 6 weeks. In 5 months he'll be 23 and his parent's income won't be taken into account, but if he leaves his course now and takes it again next year will he still be eligible for a grant? If he receives benefits during that time, will he be eligible for a BTEA instead of SUSI or will having had a SUSI awarded mean that he can't get one?
