Samsung S21 Constantly Crashing

As above. I have an S21, got it approx 18 months ago and at least 2 to 3 times a day for the last number of months its freezing / crashing / restarting. I could be doing anything like going through Spotify, Facebook, using Boards via chrome or it could just be sitting there and it will randomly restart itself.

It first started happening after a system update a few months ago and has persisted since, despite multiple subsequent updates.

Anyone experienced similar or any ideas for fixing?

Do a factory reset, then see if it persists.

Do you get any kind of error message before it restarts?

I second the factory reset, coupled with updated to the latest version of android 13 which should be out for it now too.

Before the factory reset, try the phone in safe mode and see if issue persists. This will at least confirm if the issue is present with factory only apps before you reset

Did you clear the cache partition? It's recommended after an android update.

    See details here https://www.samsung.com/ie/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/

Tip: you need to plug the phone into the USB port on a PC to get into the recovery menu. This has to be done before pressing volume up and power button.

Updated my S21 Ultra to Android 13 this morning and all running smoothly so far, touch wood.
