Would like to try but what should I use? Spray-on, pen type pain on? Has anyone tried, how did it turn out and what did you use? Thanks

Years back, I had a large mirror with a few black spots and scratches which were a result of bad storage. I had Gold spray paint and hit the damaged areas on the back of the mirror. It looked great afterwards. Very medieval 😁. I'm sure chrome spray paint would have hid the damage, but you would want to make sure the surrounding areas are well adhered and are not at risk of peeling off first. A light sanding might help.

Thanks for that. I now see another mirror, goood quality this time, just ourof storage with the same problem. A very light sanding, maybe, with 'glass paper' and silver spray.

Ill post up the result here when I get to do it in a few weeks time

Sanding something thats supposed to be perfectly flat and have no scratches?

Wake me up when it's all over.

Its glass paper e.g. ultrafine sand paper and its only for bond. Anyway Im going to try the cheap bathroom cabinet mirrors first.

It doesn't matter how fine it is if you manage to rub it on the glass it can scratch it.
