Driving simulator/online game

I am only starting my journey with DL and I'm curious, are there any online resources, game-style that would simulate driving so that I can get used to seeing and reading signs & making correct turns/stops before I actually do proper lessons with the Instructor? I have noone to teach me in the meantime (on back roads etc.) so I figured it would be sooooo much easier to get used to all the basics online first. I know they have proper driving simulators in Dundalk, but I'm on the other side of the country so no good :( Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Not a car but Euro Truck Simulator will get you used to the road.

What you can do now is learn the rules of the road well. Every time you are out getting lifts or on buses, sit in the passenger seat and start reading the road and seeing how people react. You can make a game of it by pretending you're a back seat driver and criticising your driver (silently!) and spotting all the mistakes that people are making (most people don't drive according to the rules of the road but for the test YOU must).

Your ability to read the road ahead and know how to react is vital in the test. Lerning this, while not having to actually worry about driving at the same time, will help you enormously when you take the driver's seat.

    Enjoy your driving journey.
