Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

4th Arq - Charging for returns

Just want to flag this more than any other reason

Delivery on their site is €4.95 (‘free’ if order is over €50)

    Returns are also €4.95

However when ordering, in the returns page, it doesn’t mention any return cost

Surely this is considered scummy practice? They’d surely have to note that there’s a cost to returns? They also mention not being able to get original delivery cost refunded but looking on CCPC etc it looks like if returning the full order standard delivery should be refunded

    https://4tharq.com/pages/returns

    Any ideas here?

This is the 2nd ‘influencer’ crowd I’ve seen do this - Similar to PoCo

Returning for what reason? If it's a change of mind they are entitled to charge for return.

Size - Multiple items bought, one of them doesn’t fit well

    It’s not a change-of-mind

If you order the wrong size, it is change of mind, unless they sent the wrong size.

It's still the principle of it imo

    Buy something for €40

Pay €4.95 for delivery and €4.95 for return. Rip off

How the hell by the way, is wrong size change of mind? If you order a few items medium, but one of the items just doesn't fit. How is that change of mind? Would love to see it in writing legally

Their instagram page comments seems to be filled with complaints - wrong items received, delays receiving orders, orders not being delivered, poor stocking.

Other brands do charge for returns, eg often if sending back through An Post. This is something to puts me off or certainly think twice about ordering from places.

If you have ordered a medium and you receive a large, then the return costs is the retailer.

If you have ordered a medium and you get a medium - even if that medium does not fit you, the return cost is borne by the customer unless the store offers free returns

At the end of the day, there's no such thing as "Free" delivery or "Free" returns. Its all built into the pricing model somehow
