    Hi everyone,

Looking for some advice. We're sale agreed on a property and were very close to completing the sale. The bank have now said that they will not release the funds as the small extension on the property (too small to need planning permission) does not meet building regulations. The issue they have with it is that the extension has a perspex roof which means that you cannot use the window above as a fire exit.

Anyone had any similar experience? Can this be solved quickly so we can move forward with our purchase? Can we get a quote from a contractor and use that to show that we will remedy the issue once we've moved in? Or does it have to be the seller who fixes this?

Or does anyone know how big of a job this actually is to make it fire safe?

Thanks. Just feeling really disappointed and heartbroken right now as we really love this house and had hoped to move in in the coming weeks.

    Thanks again.
