Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

DAC from Sony Bravia - weird behaviour

    Hello Boards,

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to why I'm experience the following: a-

I've got a SONY Bravia 4K smart tv with optical audio out. I picked up one of these this week to aconvert that to RCA and connect to my Onkyo A-9010 amplifier via RCA.

All hooked up, the sound from the TV was only very low (barely audible) through the amp speakers, even when I pulled the volume up full (which had no effect). Since then, I can tell that when I choose the channel on the amp (Line 4) the sound blazes, before some king of safety (I assume) kicks in to reduce it to that whisper.

I've tried reducing the audio output setting on the telly to 50%, 25% and 1% and nothing gives me a working volume level.

    Any thoughts?

    Much thanks.

    D.
