I applied through mywelfare.ie last friday 21/10/2022, and I was approved yesterday 26/10/2022, so it's quite fast. It would have been much faster, but there was an issue on their system. When I uploaded the documents to the application form, their system didn't register some of the boxes I had ticked on the form. I checked and resubmitted the forms twice, which delayed the whole thing by 2 days. I solved the issue by emailing them the forms on wednesday instead of uploading them to the application, and an officer rang me later in the day and sorted it out and approved me. If it wasn't for this issue I'd most likely have been approved last monday.

So just some advice, if they ask for forms you should email them, because the application on the site is automated, whereas an email will show up in front of a an actual person.
