    Hi All,

I used SURE scheme 5 years ago as I wanted to set up my own Company and got refunded for the the taxes but the business didnt go well and had to go back to PAYE employment. Now after benefit from the scheme I plan to set up a new business but dont know if I can avail SURE again. I am looking into the Revenue web site and doesn't say anything. The Company I set it up 5 years ago is still operating but low activity. Can anyone help me on this?

    Many thanks for helping,

Have you meet the criteria? Two main points.

    • - paye employment for the last 4 years (assume no, since your company is trading).
    • - new limited company.

    Hi gudede,

I am sorry for late reply.

Yes I have been in PAYE employment for the last 4 years. The reason for this my Company wasn't successful so I had to have employment somewhere else and I didn't take any funds of the Company just keeping the profits of the Company as reserves (I currently have over 40000 euros in Reserves)

Yes I will set up a new limited Company and liquidate the old one.

    Many thanks for the help

If you're an entrepreneur looking to get your business off the ground, the Start-Up Relief for Entrepreneurs (SURE) could be a solid option. It's a tax relief scheme designed to help new businesses by offering financial support in the early stages. The relief can help reduce the costs of starting up, which is always a huge plus when juggling many other expenses. From what I know, it's a good idea to check if you're eligible, as there are a few requirements you’ll need to meet. You can get all the details and even apply through websites like houseofcompanies.io , making it easy.
