Automatic valves problem

Noticed our boiler wasnt firing up for heating but worked fine for hot water. If I push the auto valve into the manul position, the boiler comes on and the radiators heat up.

This is the same for both the upstairs and downstairs valve, is it common for two of these to go at the same time or is there another likely cause ?

Possibly a problem with your controller. Are upstairs and downstairs each controlled by a thermostat?

You'll need to troubleshoot your programmer and thermostats.
