Hey, Im thinking of going for the Sky fibre 500mbps package. Can this 500mbps line use my existing telephone cable or does a new fibre cable need to be brought into the house?

I've no idea what your current cable is.

You have two types of cables copper cable good to about 100mb and then fibre which is currently good to 1Gbps.

For 500Mbps it would have to be fibre to your property so all I can say is that it has to be a fibre cable.

Do you know what cable you currently have?

Almost 100% sure you'll need a new cable, fibre all the way.

If you're being fed underground then you might have an issue where the pipe enters the house

If your current phone cable is being fed in overhead then the fibre will probably follow a similar route.
