    Hi,

Is broken wing mirror glass a fail?

My Jeep is booked in Monday and glass was shattered today.

Can't source a replacement, it's a 2006 Dmax, just need the sticky back glass for now

    CVR Testing Manuals - New!

Page 58 of the LCV manual says a broken mirror is a MaD (Major Defect)

Would the stick on temp glass cover pass the test?

The Stick-on Mirror will pass the Test. Finding something to suit the D Max might be an issue. Halfords do a wide range of them, but I'm fairly sure they don't do one for yours. Possibly worth a trawl through their stock to see if anything comes close, although try a few Motor Factors first and see if they can have the correct size ordered in before your Test.

Anything which roughly fits over the broken glass should be fine, I've had one on my van for years

Any decent motor factor should be able to order that in for you. That's a free visual CVRT retest anyway if you don't get it in time so don't worry too much about it.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

    Thanks for the replies.

I'll see what I can find tomorrow, it'll probably fail on something else in the end
