Analog phone input to Fritz!Box?

OK, we have now eir broadband and phone. The eir router is locked down and they do not provide details sufficient to allow a different router to register the phone line.

We have a FRITZ!Box 7590 which has two phone outlet sockets, as well as DSL and ISDN sockets. Its WAN socket is used for fibre connection.

Is there some means by which the phone socket on the eir router can be connected to the Fritz!box and have the Fritz 'see' it as a telephone 'line'?

The idea being to integrate the eir number in the Fritz!box along with the existing VOIP/SIP accounts registered there. Unless they can somehow be managed in the one device that eir phone is useless, and of course the eir router is locked down so there is no telephony management there at all. The Fritz can be used as a PBX (Private Branch Exchange) to manage routing of calls from multiple numbers/SIP accounts.

    Ideas welcome! 🙂
