External SSD/Hard Drive

Hi folks Friend suggested an external SSD (I think) instead of an external Hard Drive recently My need is something that when a match is over, that I can quickly put from the SD card onto the external hard drive/SSD (and store footage on) Would SSD be the way to go? What do they require to connect them to the laptop? Thanks

SSD is better for removable HHD as it's not prone to shocks and data loss in the way a spinning HHD is. If it's a SATA SSD then just hook it up to a USB port with...
