I'm pricing around and a few businesses have came back to me with quotations that a standard boiler service is normally costing €120 is that expensive?

I can only tell you by UK prices as I get my mothers oil fired boiler serviced every year and it costs about £90 inc VAT (sterling). I consider that a very good price, it includes cleaning, changing the burner jet, the fuel line filters and checks for water in the bottom of the fuel tank. The guy also checks the efficiency and CO2 levels noting them on the invoice. Last time he serviced it he also replaces a load of loose fire cement around the flue.

So I would say if your guy does all that for €120 you are getting good deal.

Wake me up when it's all over.
