Hi very new to this so probably in the wrong place. I'm looking to do pdr training but don't see any courses anywhere in Ireland. I'm in the motor trade so trying to learn a new skill. If anybody knows anyone training or doing courses preferably in the west or Midlands would be great.

I don't think you'll find training in this, it would be something normally done through the manufacturers national distributors.

I doubt theres much value in it anyway, it is just a paper exercise for new cars that is barely even done anyway from what I have seen. Once a dealer is paid for a car, they don't give a fúck.

95% of average mass market John and Mary buyers won't notice that a pdr isn't done and will be oblivious to any minor blemishes that aren't immediately obvious.

If a dealer is pulled up on it in the 5% of cases, they will apologise and say "oh sorry we missed that" when truth be told, they probably didn't even do a pdr anyway.

And if they do do them, it is probably done by the cheapest employee they have, a newbie apprentice or someone with very little experience because all they will do for is tick boxes on a form and take off the plastic bags off the seats.

I repair and paint cars myself. I just wanted to be able to repair the odd dent without painting as things have gotten so expensive. It would be cheaper for me and the customer if I didn't have to paint every dent
