Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Winter opens

So I'm going to be unemployed (by choice) for a time in January. Hopefully not long, but I might try to play a couple of opens in that time if I can. Ideally counting ones. What clubs run opens in the winter in Dublin and the surrounding counties?

I'm assuming none of the big links courses do. Or do the European club do something? I've it in my head that they used to. Do st annes do one, that would be handy. I'll probably pop up to seapoint one week, I'm pretty sure they do. And down to arklow if they do one.

And am I wrong to ignore the parklands? I grew up playing one and was always delighted to get out in winter, but now I'm dismissing them. I'm guessing I'm wrong to.

I'll probably end up finding jobs to do in the house and get none of these played, but I'll dream for now.

Beaverstown run an open most Mondays

While i wouldn't discount parkland courses, I think links would be much more enjoyable particularly if it's been anyway wet in the lead up to your games

Rathsallagh have Open series published during December. Anyone played this recently and can comment on course conditions over winter? How does it hold up under foot? Will it be placing everywhere or are they qualifying conditions during winter?
