From Dublin airport to Heuston in 1h30 on Sunday afternoon?

Flight scheduled to arrive at 13:10 on Sunday afternoon.

No baggage to collect.

Would I make a train departing Heuston at 14:40?

There is no Airlink 748 anymore?

So it's either a taxi at 40-50 euro?

Or a 16 or 41 bus, then switch to Luas?

The 16 takes 40 mins to O'Connell street?

I welcome any advice.

You need Dublin Express which has essentially replaced the 748

I would say no....get in at 13.10....id say youll be lucky to get out of the airport by 2...

That heavily depends on the flight- where it lands and how late it may run.

Ryanair out the end of Pier D, or Aer Lingus Regional on a bus back in - you'll be quite some time getting out to taxi rank / bus stop. The close end of Pier D is significantly closer but you won't know in advance.

Aer Lingus mainline landing at the low 400 gates - you'll be out of the airport ten minutes after the door opens.

The more I think about it, it's too risky.

13:10 arrival, get off aircraft, walk through terminal, passport control, etc.

There's a high chance I won't make the 13:40 Dublin Express 782 bus.

Your main issue is with the plane landing on time.

And there being ground handlers to get the bridge attached etc.

You have bugger all chance of making that bus. It could happen but it probably won't.

I take it you're trying to catch the 14:40 to Ceannt? Worst case scenario, you'll be stuck waiting for the next one at 16:35.

Yes, the train suits as I want to go to Oranmore, the 14:40 arrives there at 16:55.

The alternatives are:

13:45 GoBus via Dublin city, arrive Galway city 16:45

14:15 Citylink direct to Galway city, arrive 16:45

I'll book the 14:15 bus.

Get onto the first bus you can.

Ask them very nicely to drop you at Roscam (no bags, you'll make damn sure its a fast drop).
