    Hello,

At the open day at Coláiste Chiaráin in Croom my younger son really enjoyed the new campus and loads of facilities and apparent activities. The teachers seemed quite friendly and the atmosphere was nice in his view.

His brother is in a different secondary school, namely Villiers. We don't have any experience with the Croom school. And we heard bad things about it, but that's from the days when it did not yet have the new campus and was quite overcrowded. Villiers and Croom are the two realistic options for us given our location and school transport; he currently prefers Croom but I'd like to know more before making any decisions.

So, I would very much appreciate reviews and comments about the Croom school, especially from those who have experience of it in recent years. Academic and social issues - everything is interesting.

my 4 children went to Croom and I could not speak highly enough of it, the bulk of their time was in the old school and the new school is of course great, but it is the staff, the teachers are fantastic, the culture is great, my kids all loved it and did well and made loads of great friends, took full part in the options like transition year, athletics, rowing, school musical etc. We are so happy we sent our kids there and not to another school!
