Hi All. Just looking for some feedback on the Limerick marathon? how does it compare to Dublin in particular for course flatness?

Is it a well organised and run event?

would it be the best Irish marathon outside of DCM? if not what would you recommend.

Cork probably very hot in June.

Hi it's not a particularly flat course, especially in the latter stages. By consensus the most hills are in the last 10K but there is still a nice downhill finish and a defeating noise at the finish line.

Numbers are relatively small for the full marathon but a lot do the relay and there is a great atmosphere in the latter stages as you get closer to the city and cross paths with the '6 Mile'. It's a while since my one attempt at Dublin, which I didn't even finish, so not sure how they compare.

Neither are particularly flat but neither are that bad either.

Course profile is similar to Dublin. A couple of drags but nothing major.

Support is good for the second half and it is well organized. Very easy to get to the start line and as numbers are small you don't have to arrive early.

    I would recommend it.
