    Hi there

At the moment we're thinking of doing this cruise for our Honeymoon next Summer-

    Would you recommend?

I understand heat in Florida will be insane so prepared for that- If anyone has any tips/recommendations

for what to book/not to book either for cruise or before we go, would love to get some feedback!

    Cheers folks!

Have done this 3 times with RCCL but in Sept / Oct. I would recommend Eastern route as IMHO islands are much nicer. I would push the boat out and book a oceanview balcony if budget allows. Would you consider going Sept / Oct as Miami will be cooler and cruise price will be less.

Will def see if Eastern Route is better- Any islands in particular to look out for along this route?

Will def be a balcony unfortunately with work it has to be August- not ideal- but it is what it is!

Aiming to book the Drinks package which works out at 50dollars a day I think

Would a couple be bored of the offerings from the food package/restaurants etc that is included in standard package or should we look to upgrade?

I was on Norweigan and immediate family have done MSC in the Carribean. Balcony is an absolute must IMO. I just loved to sit out and watch the docking and undocking even.

€50/day is steep (but normal), but you never have a second thought about whether or not to grab a drink, so it's much more relaxing.

IIRC we got a few nights of upgraded dining included, which I'd recommend. It's a nice change whatever the ship and give you something different to look forward to over the standard, especially for a honeymoon!

Yea def dont want to be thinking about whether I should or shouldnt have a drink on honeymoon!

It covers coffee as well? Does it cover it in the Starbucks?

When you say you got a few nights of upgraded dining- Did you prebook these before hand or when you were on the cruise when you decided to upgrade??

It'll certainly cover coffee at the bar, but I'm not sure about a Starbuck on board.

ON the Norwegian, we booked all the dining at the same time as the cruise itself. I was still possible to do so on board, or even walk up that evening, but I suspect availability would be hard to come by.

If it was a special deal for a few hundred quid for the week, you could forgo it, but for honeymoon - book in advance if you can.

    Thanks a million for that

Looking at Royal Carribbean you seem able to book individual restaurants, as in, I cant see a an upgraded restaurant package that would include all restaurants, if you get me

I think that's just to do with availability yep, as if you upgrade the drinks package any bar can serve you, but if everyone was to upgrade to a premium restaurants pack, then availability would be an issue.

St Thomas and St Martin [ St Maarten] are very nice. As regards drink package if both of you are drinkers then thats €700 for the week. I recommend if you book then sign up with RCCL for offers as you could save a few € on speciality dining and drinks package. I think you will be happy with the standard of food and you can always have a 2nd main in the dining room as waiters are always friendly.

There is an offer at the moment for UK & Irish bookings for Royal Caribbean. Drinks Package is £43 per day (my travel agent converted it at €51 per day). To buy it in the cruise planner at the time was €82 per day.

We are just back from an Alaskan sailing and there wasn't a Starbucks on board, but it did cover the Starbucks concessions.

Once you book, you will be able to see the unlimited dining package in your cruise planner (their website/app). We had the option to book the unlimited, 3 restaurants (one to include Chips), or individually.
