Shielded patch panel used alone

    Hi,

I am setting up a home network system. I have an unused patch panel but it is shielded and my cat5e and cat6 network is not shielded. Would using this heavy steel boxed patch panel cause me trouble? I know it has to be earthed but are there any other considerations on this?
